I’m a member of the Designers of Guelph or DoGs as we sometimes call ourselves. We’re a loose affiliation of graphic designers based in Guelph and you can find out more about us at designersofguelph.ca. Sadly, I lost a real dog this month. Farley was both our beloved family dog and my studio mate for the last 12 years. Those of you who work from home (and there are many more of you now) know this is a very important role. He was always there as I worked through the day and by association, he was a DoG too. He’d always let me know when it was time to take a break—so important when you work for yourself. Here’s to Farley (2008-2020), a freelancer’s best friend! Everyone who knew him knew he was a great dog and we will miss him.
